I think about how Tobey’s 14 and that his vet has told us he’s had a marathon of life for a basset hound and we will eventually need to be ready to say goodbye. Shit, who the fuck wouldn’t be sad about that. You’ve had your dog since you were 12 years old, you siphoned all the coins out of the couches, saved birthday, christmas and allowances from doing the dishes for him. Fuck it, I’m still upset that my first dog passed away 8 years ago. My dog is my best friend.
